It is somewhat different experience to write sales resume than writing any other professional resume. Instead, listing prior jobs and duties emphasize on your achievements, when creating a sales resume. In the sales field the goal is profit and you need to prove the prospective employer how you can contribute to achieve this.
Like other resumes, begin your resume with your name, contact address, contact number and email address in the top part of your resume.
An objective or summary statement is the first section of your resume. The objective of sales resume is a brief statement summarizing some of your qualifications and your desired position.
In the next section list your prior employment history. Create a listing of all of your previous sales jobs, including position held, company name and employment dates. This should be listed in chronological order, starting from most recent employment.
The next section is "Achievement" section. In this you can list all of your achievements and accomplishments you done at your previous sales jobs. For example if you are responsible for increasing then sales in the company by 40% then please mention that. Also state any of your won sales awards and honors.
The final section of your resume is "Certifications" or "Training". Create a bulleted listing of your received certifications. In addition to that you can list any sales workshops, seminars or training program that you have attended.
Proofread your resume for any errors and print the resume on a bond paper.
