Special Situations Resume

It is not much difficult to get a job in a new industry as changing careers completely. Through informational interviewing, researching and networking you can build up a strong foundation to change industries. It is easy to change between industries if you are in the occupations like educator, manager, marketing, accountant, fund raiser, administrative support, sales, finance, MIS. So getting a job in new industry is one of the special situations.

The college student without any working experience is also considered as a special situation. How a student can write a professional resume when he does not have much background or experience.

The resume of recent college grad or college student, can start with an objective, have summary of qualifications section, then write educational details including mane of school, college or university, GPA, the major concentration area and expected year of graduation.

Next section is the coursework section in which student can write down 6-10 titles of relevant courses in his or her major concentration area. Then the next section is to list out achievements and accomplishments. As students don’t have much work experience they can include volunteer experience, campus activities, sororities and fraternities, sports awards and scholarship in this section.

For the military person seeking for career transition a functional resume is suitable. Just include your military experience in the experience filed and list the ranks, responsibilities, and dates for each position held.
